The Assam Rifles is the oldest branch of the Indian Army, dating back to 1835 under the British Raj, raised under the name Cachar Levy. The present name of “Assam Rifles” has been used since 1917 Similar to the Rashtriya Rifles in Jammu and Kashmir, in the Northeastern States the Assam Rifles is the specialised force that carries out anti-insurgency operations in difficult terrain of the region.

All its senior ranks, from LG to MG and sector headquarters are manned by officers from the Indian Army. The force is commanded by a Lieutenant General of the Indian Army.

Assam Rifles Recruitment 2022 Qualification :- 

Bridge & Road (Male & Female):

• 10th Pass + Diploma In Civil Engineering for Bridge

Clerk (Male & Female):

• 12th Pass + English Typing @35 WPM & Hindi Typing @30 WPM

Religious Teacher:

• Graduate with Related Subjects

Operator Radio and Line:

• 10th Pass + ITI in Related Field or 12th Pass with Non-Medical

Radio Mechanic:

• 10th Pass + Diploma in Related Field or 12th Pass with Non-Medical

Armourer, Lab Assistant, Nursing Assistant:

• 10th Pass

Veterinary Field Assistant:

• 12th Pass + Diploma in Veterinary Science

Aya (Paramedical), Washerman:

• 10th Pass

Experience :- Freshers/ Experienced

Assam Rifles Recruitment 2022 Selection process:-

• The selection will be based on the following criteria which are as below-  Physical Standard Test(PST), Physical Efficiency Test(PET), Written Examination, Trade Test(Skill Test), Medical Examination

Assam Rifles Physical Standard Test (PST):

• In Physical Standard Test, the height of all candidates and the chest of only male candidates will be checked. There is a certain restriction on height (More Details in advt.)
